What the Professionals Tell Us To Look For When BUYING MOUNTAIN PROPERTY

Waterfront homes and river property are a far better investment than a cabin for sale that is not on the water. Riverfront property will increase much faster than other mountain homes that are not next to water.

WHAT YOU NEED TO LOOK FOR WHEN BUYING RIVER PROPERTY
The location needs to offer Tons of Outdoor Activities: water sports (water skiing jet skiing, on mountain lakes. Crystal clear rivers for kayaking, canoeing and inner tubing), world-class lake and river fishing, Golf, hiking, horseback riding, great ATV trails, animal viewing, hunting, snowmobile and cross country skiing in the winter. Waterfront cabins aren't nearly as marketable if there isn't plenty for the family to do close-by so make sure there are plenty of activities for the family. 
                                              

A key factor is location, and this mountain cabin is located in one of the country’s hottest second home markets in the U.S., Island Park.
Island Park is strategically located on the border of western Montana, and Wyoming, a short 26 minute drive to Yellowstone and 1.5 hrs to Jackson for a fun day of upscale western shopping, art galleries and dining. Other interesting towns like Virginia City and old mining towns close by also make great day trips.
Love to fish? One more reason you will love this area,  IP is famous for its river and lake fishing. The Henry's Fork of the Snake River, Henry's Lake, the Madison River and other favorites are some of the top spots for fishing in the Northern Rockies.
